Does Zambia Require a Visa?

Yes, Zambia requires Turkish citizens to apply for an e-visa before their travels or to obtain a visa on arrival.

Zambia declared its independence in 1964 and experiences rainy weather between November and April.

Rainfall decreases from May to November. The best months for a trip to Zambia, when it is not excessively hot, are between May and August. Temperatures rise after August.

Types of Zambia Visas

There are 7 different types of visas for Zambia. Generally, Zambian visas allow a stay of up to 90 days.

• Single Entry: 25 USD
• Double Entry: 40 USD 
• Multiple Entry: 75 USD 
• Transit Visa: 25 USD, valid for 7 days.

• 1-Day Entry (Day Tripper): 10 USD, not included in the e-visa. Valid for visits shorter than 24 hours. Issued at the entry point. 

  Note: Currently, the Day Tripper visa is only valid at Victoria Falls and Kazungula Border Controls.

• Kazungula UNIVISA: 50 USD,  multi-entry visa for Zambia and Zimbabwe -> This visa allows tourists to visit both countries multiple times with a single visa. It is valid for up to 30 days as long as they stay in Zambia and Zimbabwe. It also covers those visiting Botswana for day trips from Kazungula Borders. Turkish citizens can benefit from the Kazungula UNIVISA.

  Note: It can be obtained as an e-visa.  It can also be obtained at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport, Victoria Falls Border Control, and Kazungula Border Control. If obtained as an e-visa, entry must be made through Zambia first.

• Gratis (Free Visa):  Issued at the border for holders of diplomatic passports free of charge.   It is also granted to diplomats visiting Zambia for official duties but not accredited to Zambia, provided they present invitation letters.
