Does my photo get uploaded anywhere?
Background removal and cropping happen entirely in your browser, your original photo never leaves your device unless you tap "Check with AI," which sends only the final cropped photo for a one-time review.
Why does the UK need a different background than Schengen?
The physical photo size (35x45mm) happens to be the same, but the UK's official rule is a light grey/cream background, not white, a photo made for a Schengen application may be rejected for a UK one for this reason alone.
Does the AI review guarantee my photo will be accepted?
No. It flags visible issues (framing, obvious background problems, expression) as a helpful second check, not an official approval. The consulate always makes the final call.
