How to Obtain a Kuwait Visa? Step by Step Guide (Explained with Visuals)
First, we access the website where we will make the Kuwait e-visa application at https://kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw/
If you are ready, let's continue with our Kuwait visa application.
On the homepage, after clicking on the "English" option in the top menu, you can switch to the English version.
To navigate to the visa application page, you can click on "General Department of Residency" under "E-services" in the top menu.
After this stage, a different structured page appears. When you click on "Apply for Tourist e-Visa" in the blue area on the left, you can start your application by following the steps. You need to fill out the form separately for each family member. Group applications are not allowed. You must complete the application on a computer, as filling out the Kuwait visa application form on a mobile phone will be quite difficult.

Passport Information
On the screen below, we are filling in the information together as we approach the Kuwait visa step by step.
- For the question "Do you have a current Residence Permit in a GCC country?", you can answer "No".
- Passport nationality -> Turkey
- Passport Type -> Normal
- Passport Number: The code starting with U on the main page of your passport, where your photo is located.
- Have you visited or have a residence in Kuwait before? -> If you have not visited Kuwait before, you can say "No".
- E-mail -> Very important, your visa application result will be sent here. Please pay attention to the E-mail section in the Kuwait Visa Application Warnings section at the bottom of the page.
- I agree to Rules and Regulations.* -> You can check the box indicating that you accept the rules.
- Type the text -> For security purposes, you can write the text on the screen in the relevant area to prove that you are not a bot and then press the "Next" button.

Explanation of How Our Information Will Be Used
In the third stage of our Kuwait e-visa application, there is information about how our data will be used. You can read the details by clicking "Read More" and proceed to the next step by clicking "I Accept".

Our Personal Information
- Do you have a previous nationality? -> If you do not have citizenship of another country, you can answer "No".
- Place of birth -> You can select the country where you were born. For "Türkiye", you should select "Turkey".
- Birthday -> You can enter your date of birth in the format "18-04-1988" and press the "Next" button.

Uploading Passport Image
There are points to pay attention to at this stage. If we have a passport image that meets these criteria, we can simply answer "Yes" to proceed to the next stage.
- A clear, easy-to-read scanned photo of your passport that does not contain different information.
- The maximum file size must be 512 KB.
- The accepted image format is jpg. iPhones can take photos in .heic format, so the photo must be converted to ".jpg" format before uploading.

Continuation of Personal Information - First and Last Name
There is another point we need to pay attention to here. When writing your first and last name, you should write in uppercase letters and avoid using Turkish characters. For example, if your name is "Aliye", you should write "ALIYE" in the First Name section of the form. If you have a second name, you can write it in the Second Name section. Some people mistakenly write their last name in the Second Name section. You must write your last name in the Family Name section. You can leave the Arabic name section at the bottom of the form blank and continue.

Kuwait Address Information
Below, you need to enter the address of the hotel or house where you will be staying during your trip to Kuwait as an example. You should add the Turkey country code at the beginning of your mobile phone number as 0090. Sometimes, the form may ask for a "Local Kuwaiti Mobile Number" due to a form error; you can pass this by adding the Kuwaiti phone code at the beginning as 0000.

Visa Fee Payment Screen
Here, we are asked for our personal credit card information. This is not for payment; the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior uses this information for certain inquiries. You can use your credit card information for children under 16 who do not have a credit card.

Passport Information and Additional Information
On this screen, you might say that you have already entered your passport number, but we are again asked for information such as the number and place of issue related to our passport. Let's look at them together.
- Passport Issue Place -> The place where the passport was issued. You can find it on the first page of your passport.
- Passport Number -> Your passport number, which is the code starting with U on the first page of your passport that we filled out earlier.
- Passport Issue Date -> The date your passport was issued.
- Passport Expiry Date -> The expiry date of your passport.
- Gender -> Your gender.
- Marital Status -> Your marital status.
- Education -> Your education status.
After providing this information, we can proceed to the next step.

Now we can upload the photo of our passport that we previously took or scanned. You must ensure that all information is readable, the file size does not exceed 512 kb, and the file type is .jpg.

Approval of the Kuwait Visa Application Form
The good news is that we have completed the Kuwait visa application form. You must repeat all the process steps for other family members. Be sure to note the application number displayed on this screen.
