There is no visa fee for tourist entry. For stays longer than 30 days, the official Indonesian e-visa portal issues a single-entry tourist visa for IDR 1,500,000, with a stay of up to 60 days that can be extended. The application is paid by Mastercard, Visa or JCB card, and most tourist visas are processed within 5 working days.

Alternatives to visa-free entry: e-visa and consulate applications

• Visa-free entry: tourism only, up to 30 days, free of charge.
• E-visa tourist visa: for holidays or family visits longer than 30 days, through evisa.imigrasi.go.id. You must show proof of living expenses of at least US$2,000 or the equivalent, and the visa must be used within 90 days of issue.
• Work, study and long-term residence: through Indonesian missions abroad.

Extending your stay in Indonesia: What Turkey citizens need to know

After a visa-free entry you must leave Indonesia on day 30 at the latest. Otherwise, according to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the stay counts as an overstay and an administrative fine of IDR 1 million per day (about US$60) applies. You are not allowed to leave Indonesia before the fine is paid, and people who cannot pay may face deportation procedures that can take 2 to 3 months.
