Do Spanish citizens need a visa for Mozambique?
An entry permit (eTA type) is required. Under Decree 10/2023, Spanish holders of ordinary passports are exempt from the entry visa for tourism or business up to 30 days. Since the launch of a new digital platform, all Spanish travellers must also obtain the entry permit on the official Mozambique eVisa website.

How the entry permit works
- Apply at least five days before your trip.
- After paying online you get a receipt. Keep it and show it on entry and on exit, or you may have to pay the fee again plus fines.
- For purposes other than tourism or business, you need a visa from the Mozambican authorities in advance.
Passport
The Spanish DNI is not valid. Your passport must be valid for at least six months and have at least two blank pages, or entry will be refused. Carry the original: the police may detain anyone who shows only copies.
